How do you design a chair with low environmental impact but high durability? That is the starting point for Bug, designed by Danish Bly Studio. With its full, rounded seats offset by the clean, exaggerated lines of the frame, the Bug is a study of visual contrasts and ultimate comfort.
A mindful reduction in material and resource use has been incorporated into the production of Bug — all without compromising on comfort.
The materials used are not only durable but also easy to separate, making Bug easy to repair or even recycle.
While of course it is possible to sit on Bug as you would any other chair, the puffy sides mean that you can easily rest your head and drape your legs across the armrests, using them as pillows. However you feel comfortable sitting or lying down, Bug can accommodate you!

Product Description
BUG is subject to Danish Furniture Control.
Frame:
The arms, front rail and backrest are made from moulded, oiled oak or walnut veneer. The frame components are made from solid oiled oak or oiled walnut.
The seat frame is made from solid Scandinavian pine doweled together in triangular frames, assembled and braced with low emission Masonite, using a water-based glue.
Seat suspension of highly elastic Nozag springs of varnished European carbon steel mounted in specially developed coated noise-free spring holders. The frame is upholstered with several types of high-quality polyurethane and high-density foam for comfort and long-lasting durability.
Cushion:
The seat consists of a highly elastic polyurethane foam core with a cover of 600 g fiberfill.
The armrest and back cushions consists of a highly elastic polyurethane foam core with a wrap of 600 g fiberfill.
Cover:
Bug is available upholstered in any fabric or leather from the Eilersen collection or in COM fabric or leather (Customer’s Own Material).
A special collection of fabrics has been developed for Bug with the aim of reducing its carbon footprint. The collection consists of the following fabrics: Plain, Spotty and Woody
With fabric and leather upholstery the standard delivery is with a removable cover on the frame with an inner cover in stout made of 100 % cotton.
All cushion covers are equipped with a high-quality zip.
Legs:
Ares is delivered as standard with hidden black legs, 30x60x60mm, in black stained pinewood.
Dimension:
All dimensions are frame dimensions.
LABELLING:
Bug is indoor climate marked (Danish standard for indoor climate).
