Journal is a modern two- or three-seater sofa, plus footstool, with an elegant silhouette. The slender lines of the armrests create a cohesive look, wrapping around the back. Choose between the standard steel legs or add wooden legs for a more Scandinavian touch.
Ideal for commercial spaces such as hotel rooms, lobbies, or offices, Journal brings sophistication and comfort to any space thank to its versatility and minimalist look.
Journal’s frame is solid wood, with a Nozag-spring seat-base covered with polyurethane foam. The seat cushion is HR foam in a sandwich construction with a firmer foam on the bottom and a softer on top with a wrap of fibrefill. The back cushion is a HR foam core with a wrap of fibrefill, while the arm cushions are filled with poly-down, consisting of 70% down and 30% HR foam.
Journal is available with fabric or leather upholstery. Standard delivery with fabric cover is with a removable cover, while the leather upholstery comes standard with fixed-frame upholstery, both featuring a calico cover underneath. All cushion covers have zip closures.
For the Journal sofa, you can select between different leg styles. Standard is 175 x Ø 50 mm (6,9 x 2”) legs in brushed stainless steel mounted inside underneath the sofa, alternative 175 x Ø 18 mm (6,9 x 0,7”) corner legs in stainless steel or 175 x 25 x 25 mm (6,9 x 1 X 1”) corner legs in stainless steel. All the steel legs can be black lacquered (RAL 9004, matt) with an additional surcharge.
Journal is also offered with wooden legs in oak (nature soap, nature lacquered, oil-treated, and black-stained) in two sizes: 175 x Ø 50 mm (6,9 x 2”) mounted inside underneath the sofa or 175 x 40 x 40 mm (6,9 x 1,6 X 1,6”) corner placed legs.

JOURNAL is subject to Danish Furniture Control.
Frame:
Frame in solid Scandinavian pine doweled together in triangular frames, assembled and braced with low emission Masonite, using a water-based glue. Seat suspension of highly elastic Nozag springs of varnished European carbon steel mounted in specially developed coated noise-free spring holders. The frame is upholstered with several types of high-quality polyurethane and high-density foam for comfort and long-lasting durability.
Cushion:
The back- and seat cushion consists of a highly elastic polyurethane foam core with a cover of 600 g fiberfill.
Cover:
Jounal is available upholstered in any fabric or leather from the Eilersen collection or in COM fabric or leather (Customer’s Own Material).
With fabric upholstery the standard delivery is with a fixed-frame cover, alternatively with a removable cover on the frame, both with an inner cover in stout made of 100 % cotton.
With fabric upholstery the back cushions are reversible
With leather upholstery the standard delivery is with a fixed cover on the frame with an inner cover in stout made of 100 % cotton.
All cushion covers are equipped with a high-quality zip.
Legs:
Jounal is delivered as standard with cornerplaced legs in brushed stainless steel 185 x Ø22 mm (7.28 x Ø0.87”)alternatively in black lacquered (RAL 9004 matt). The height of all legs in stainless steel (seat height) can be increased by +20 mm (0.79”).
Warranty:
Eilersen provides a five-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in the frame, springs and cushion filling.
No warranty is provided on fabric and leather from the Eilersen collection or on COM fabrics.
