Bench is as elegant as it is useful. Place it in the living room or bedroom as a place to put magazines, clothes, or a tray – the carefully proportioned padding makes it a pleasant seat.
Bench was created by Nils Juul Eilersen, with the aim of creating a furnishing element that is often missing from a room – at the foot of the bed, in front of a sofa, against the wall in the living room, or in the hallway for seating.
The result is a padded piece created with a clear sense of proportions and decades of experience with the art of upholstery.
The proportions are thus a function of a pleasant seat height of 40 or 46 centimetres, which is mirrored in the width, giving the bench the pure, basic form of the square. The length – 140, 160 or 200 centimetres – matches traditional bed widths.
Bench is available in bespoke colours and materials, and as a special feature, it can be ordered either with or without tufting and fabric-covered buttons, depending on how clean a look is desired and the setting for the bench.
