Amdal
With a soft and slightly textured feel, as well as a visible but unobtrusive weave, Amdal is made from a blend of 70% virgin wool and 30% viscose. It is durable while remaining light, making it ideal as a fitted fabric for indoor furniture, from sofas to footstools.
Viscose improves the feel and drape of a fabric when blended with wool, and Amdal is a perfect example of this; a textile that sits and wears beautifully over time without creasing.
What to know:
Wool-based fabrics may have some pilling over time, which is easy to shave off.
Wool fabrics are durable and require less maintenance than many other natural-fibre fabrics.
Wool fabrics are cosy, bringing warmth in the winter and coolness in the summer.
