The wide, square armrests give Shu a masculine look, while the soft arm and back cushions ensure optimal comfort and visual balance.
Available in a variety of lengths, and including a corner sofa option, the Shu has modular options while always retaining its strong frame. The seat cushions are made from our renowned down-top filling, while the back cushions are 100% down, offering an organic shape.
There are two comfort versions available, one with 100% down back cushion and one with down-top back cushion. The down version offers a soft and comfortable feel and demands some maintenance while the down-top is slightly firmer and less maintenance demanding.
All pillows have a zipper so the cover can easily be washed or dry-cleaned.
Standard leg is a round corner-placed stainless-steel leg 17,5xØ1,8cm (6 9/10”x 7/10”). Stainless steel legs are also available in a black lacquered version (RAL 9004 matt).
Shu is offered as a fixed two- and three-seater sofa in four sizes, and sections and footstools in nine different sizes and shapes. This modularity makes it easy to adjust to the size and needs of your space.

SHU is subject to Danish Furniture Control.
Frame:
Frame in solid Scandinavian pine doweled together in triangular frames, assembled and braced with low emission Masonite, using a water-based glue.
Seat suspension of highly elastic Nozag springs of varnished European carbon steel mounted in specially developed coated noise-free spring holders.
The frame is upholstered with several types of high-quality polyurethane and high density foam for comfort and long-lasting durability.
Cushion:
Cushions/Comfort are offered in two versions:
- The seat cushion is a down-top cushion consisting of a highly elastic polyurethane foam core with a cover of 100 % high-quality down and duck feathers, sewn into a channeled spring of down-proof cambric in 100 % cotton in combination with a back cushion of 100 % high-quality down and duck feathers, sewn into a channeled spring of down-proof cambric in 100 % cotton.
- The seat cushion is a down-top cushion consisting of a highly elastic polyurethane foam core with a cover of 100 % high-quality down and duck feathers, sewn into a channeled spring of down-proof cambric in 100 % cotton in combination with a back cushion of highly elastic polyurethane foam core with a cover of 100 % high-quality down and duck feathers, sewn into a channeled spring of down-proof cambric in 100 % cotton.
All down and duck feathers are by-products of food production.
The down can emit a faint odour at high humidity and should be air-dried regularly. To maintain the shape and appearance of down cushion and pillows, regular fluffing-up and airing is recommended.

Cover:
Shu is available upholstered in any fabric or leather from the Eilersen collection or in COM fabric or leather (Customer’s Own Material).
With fabric upholstery the standard delivery is with a removable cover on the frame, with an inner cover in stout made of 100 % cotton.
With leather upholstery the standard delivery is with a fixed cover on the frame with an inner cover in stout made of 100 % cotton.
For both fabric and leather upholstery, there is always a seam running across the chaise longue section.
All cushion covers are equipped with a high-quality zip.
Legs:
Shu is delivered as standard with legs in brushed stainless steel 175 x Ø18 mm (6,89 x 0,71”). Steel legs alternatively in black lacquered (RAL 9004 matt).
The height of the legs (seat height) can be increased by +20 mm (0,78”).
Warranty:
Eilersen provides a five-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in the frame, springs and cushion filling.
No warranty is provided on fabric and leather from the Eilersen collection or on COM fabrics.
