Designed in 2003, Playground is more than a sofa. This multifunctional piece of furniture is both sculptural and charming, bringing unexpected personality to your room.
With its geometric design, Playground adds a playful element to any space – from a small apartment to an extra daybed in a cosy corner.
Put several of the sofa frames together and create a large, versatile seating area that draws the eye as both furniture and sculpture.
Playground is available in nine sections and footstools which makes it easy to adjust to the size and needs of your space.
Seat height is standard 39 cm (15 ½”) but can be increased by either 2 cm (3/4”) or 4 cm (1 ½”)

Product Description
PLAYGROUND is subject to Danish Furniture Control.
Frame:
Frame in solid Scandinavian pine doweled together in triangular frames, assembled and braced with low emission Masonite, using a water-based glue.
Seat suspension of highly elastic Nozag springs of varnished European carbon steel mounted in specially developed coated noise-free spring holders.
The frame is upholstered with several types of high-quality polyurethane and high-density foam for comfort and long-lasting durability.
Cushion:
The seat cushion is a highly elastic polyurethane foam core with a wrap of 600 g fiberfill in a down-proof cambric cushion in 100 % cotton.
The back cushions are down-top cushions consisting of a highly elastic polyurethane foam core with a wrap of 100 % high-quality down and small duck feathers, sewn into a ribbed, down-proof cambric cushion (casing) in 100 % cotton.
All down and duck feathers are by-products of food production.
The down can emit a faint odour at high humidity and should be air-dried regularly. To maintain the shape and appearance of down cushion and pillows, regular fluffing-up and airing is recommended.
Cover:
Playground is available upholstered in any fabric or leather from the Eilersen collection or in COM fabric or leather (Customer’s Own Material).
With fabric upholstery the standard delivery is with a fixed-frame cover, alternatively with a removable cover on the frame, both with an inner cover in stout made of 100 % cotton.
With leather upholstery the standard delivery is with a fixed cover on the frame with an inner cover in stout made of 100 % cotton.
All cushion covers are equipped with a high-quality zip.
Legs:
Playground is delivered as standard with hidden black legs, 80 x 60 x 60 mm (3.15 x 2.36 x 2.36”), moulded in nylon (Polyamide PA6) produced with a content of 98 % recycled plastic. The height of the legs (seat height) can be increased by + 20 mm (0.78”) or + 40 mm (1.57”).
Warranty:
Eilersen provides a five-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in the frame, springs and cushion filling.
No warranty is provided on fabric and leather from the Eilersen collection or on COM fabrics.
