Defined by its curved silhouette and fluid transitions, Bean brings a warm and inviting presence to contemporary interiors while maintaining a strong architectural identity.
The design offers generous seating surface combined with removable down-top backrests that allow the sofa to adapt naturally to different ways of sitting, gathering and relaxing. The removable backrests feature a foam core wrapped in a soft down cover, offering exceptional comfort while allowing the sofa to change character depending on how it is arranged and used.
As a standalone sofa, Bean appears playful and sculptural, while combined with a chaise longue or additional modules it takes on a calmer and more classic expression. Product Description
BEAN is subject to Danish Furniture Control.
Frame:
Frame in solid Scandinavian pine doweled together in triangular frames, assembled and braced with low emission Masonite, using a water-based glue.
Seat suspension of highly elastic Nozag springs of varnished European carbon steel mounted in specially developed coated noise-free spring holders.
The frame is upholstered with several types of high-quality polyurethane and high-density foam for comfort and long-lasting durability.
Cushion:
The seat cushion is a highly elastic polyurethane foam core with a wrap of 600 g Fiberfill.
The back support is a hardfoam core with a wrap of 100 % high-quality down and small duck feathers, sewn into a ribbed, down-proof cambric cushion (casing) in 100 % cotton.
All down and duck feathers are by-products of food production.
The down can emit a faint odour at high humidity and should be air-dried regularly. To maintain the shape and appearance of down cushion and pillows, regular fluffing-up and airing is recommended.
Cover:
Bean is available upholstered in any fabric or leather from the Eilersen collection or in COM fabric or leather (Customer’s Own Material).
With fabric- and leather upholstery the delivery is with a removable cover on the frame, both with an inner cover in stout made of 100 % cotton.
All cushion covers are equipped with a high-quality zip.
Legs:
Bean is delivered as standard with hidden black legs, 80 x 60 x 60 mm (3,15 x 2,36 x 2,36”), moulded in nylon (Polyamide PA6) produced with a content of 98 % recycled plastic.
The height of the legs (seat height) can be increased by +20 (0,78”) or +40 mm (1,57”).
Warranty:
Eilersen provides a five-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in the frame, springs and cushion filling.
No warranty is provided on fabric and leather from the Eilersen collection or on COM fabrics.
