Design: Nils Juul Eilersen
With Bench, Eilersen has created a decorative piece of furniture that opens new interior design possibilities. The bench is as elegant as it is useful, in the living room or bedroom, as a place to put magazines, clothes or a tray – and the carefully scaled padding makes it a pleasant seat.
Padding and proportions
The design was created by Nils Juul Eilersen, who aimed to create the furnishing element that is always missing – at the foot of the bed, in front or behind the sofa, against the wall in the living room. The result is a padded piece created with a clear sense of proportions and decades of experience with the art of upholstery.
The proportions are thus a function of a pleasant seat height of 40 or 46 centimetres, which is mirrored in the width, giving the bench the pure, basic form of the square. The length – 140, 160 or 200 centimetres – matches traditional bed widths.
A personalized interior design element
Bench is available in bespoke colours and materials, and as a special feature, it can be ordered either with or without fabric-covered buttons, depending on how clean a look is desired and the setting the bench is going to occupy.
